Monk Talents
Level 15:
| Celerity | Tiger’s Lust | Momentum |
|
|
|
| Adds a charge and reduces CD on Roll / Chi Torpedo, so you go from 2 rolls every 40 sec to 3 every 25 sec. | Situationally useful, but the 1 chi cost kills it. Needs to either have no CD or no chi cost before it’s a viable option. Definitely a godsend for PvP, though. | Adds a movement speed increase after Roll. I prefer this to Celerity, though both are good. Recommended for all specializations. |
Level 30:
| Chi Wave | Zen Sphere | Chi Burst |
|
|
|
| 2 Chi, 8s CD, bounces between 7 targets (friendly/enemy) for healing and damage. A bit like Chain Heal. Good when people are too spread for Chi Burst, but not good if they’re really spread, since it jumps slow and only has a 20 yard range. Recommended for all specializations. | 2 Chi, HoT on a single target, also does damage to closest enemy. Lasts 16s, only one can be up at a time. Recasting it for an additional 2 Chi causes the Sphere to detonate for a good bit of AoE healing. The HoT’s too weak and the detonation’s two costly, in my view, so I don’t like ZS right now. | 2 Chi, 1s cast, conal AoE damage and healing. Avoidance continues during CB, so Brewmaster can take if they choose. Preferred over Chi Wave for AoE situations if you can hit 6+ targets with it. Recommended for 25m Mistweavers. |
Level 45:
| Power Strikes | Ascension | Chi Brew |

| 1 extra chi on Jab, 22s CD. If you’re full on chi, generates a Chi Sphere which you can walk over for 1 chi when you need it. Good talent for beginners of all specs; one less button to press. | Boosts chi max to 5. Unlike the other two talents, this doesn’t increase your rate of chi gain in any way, so it’s pretty mediocre. | On-use ability that adds 4 chi with a 90 second cooldown. Recommended for all specializations as long as you remember to use it, else take Power Strikes. |
Level 60:
| Deadly Reach | Charging Ox Wave | Leg Sweep |

|
| This makes your Paralysis ranged; unfortunately, the range is only 20 yards at the moment, which doesn’t really help if you’re trying to use it for CC. | Short stun on every target in front of you for 30 yds. Now, this is more like it. Good if you’re going to be at range and can’t use Leg Sweep. Recommended for Mistweavers in certain situations. | Melee range AoE stun. Absolutely amazing (5s AoE stun? Hello!), so the duration might get nerfed, but great for reducing tank damage on a trash pack. Recommended for all situations. |
Level 75:
| Healing Elixirs | Dampen Harm | Diffuse Magic |

| 10% self-heal every time you drink a brew/tea with an 18s CD. Not bad while you’re leveling, but pretty worthless at endgame. | 90s CD, reduces next 3 attacks that deal more than 10% damage in half. You’ll want to switch between this and Diffuse Magic, depending on encounter. Recommended for all specializations, especially Brewmaster. | 90s CD, reduces all spell damage taken by 90% AND clears all magical effects on you, reversing them to their original caster. Lasts 6 sec. Amazing ability, but depends on you taking big magical damage and being able to time it. Situationally recommended. |
Level 90:
| Rushing Jade Wind | Invoke Xuen, The White Tiger | Chi Torpedo |

| 2 Chi, 30s CD, buffs Spinning Crane Kick substantially. Unfortunately, SCK got nerfed significantly as an AoE heal, so RJW’s not that great for MW. Decent for WW/BM for increasing damage on trash, but that’s about it. | Free, 3m CD, lasts 45 sec, summons a cool-as-hell tiger that attacks your target and also does small AoE lightning damage. Recommended for all specializations. | Changes your Roll into Chi Torpedo, which lets your Roll damage enemies and heal allies it touches. Don’t really see this being overly useful at the moment. |

[...] for AoE pulls, especially at the beginning. I’ve got a fuller description of monk talents here, and Sunnier has an amazingly good guide for brewmasters here. That’s it for brewmasters. So [...]
you might wanna think to rewrite your guide so that it now includes Ascension changes
