If you’re looking to rush a monk to 90, here’s the quick summary:
- Scroll of Resurrection: NO. The “free lvl 80 bonus” from a SoR cannot be granted to a monk. (Nor can it to a unfactioned panda, BTW, so if you want a SoR panda 80, you have to run him through the starting zone first.)
- Recruit-a-Friend: YES. Will work just like normal. Remember, the recruitee can grant 1 level for every 2 levels he gains up to level 80, so you’ll need to run two toons to 80 if you want to bank 80 levels. Also remember that granted levels keep your XP bar at the same %, so get the new monk a tick away from leveling before you do the granting. 1.0 to 1.95 is trivial; 80.0 to 80.95, not so much.

I don’t understand why you need the third character to 5. A level to grant every two levels makes 40 grantable levels per character leveled to 80, as half of 80 is 40. Two characters leveled to 80 would mean 80 grantable levels. What’s with the 5?
Unless they’ve changed it (haven’t done an RaF since early LK), you get 1 grantable level for every 2 levels gained, rounded down. A lvl 80 starts at 1, so that’s 79 levels gained = 39 grantable levels. 2 80′s gets you 78 levels.
Actually, now that I’ve gone an read the Benefits page, they start the level granting at level 2, so…forget what I said, you just need the two 80s. :)
Hmm I’ve read conflicting reports actually that say your first comment was correct. I think to be safe I’ll do what the post says. I’ll create my monk and get it to 99% of level 1 and then I’ll get the level 5 char to grant two levels. Then I’ll do the rest with the other banked levels from the 80′s. It would be far better to have excess levels then to run out.
Actually, now that I think about it, you could just level the new monk to 3.99, which might take LESS time than having to fight with the login servers an extra time for the level 5. :)
You can grant 39 levels per alt. It means you need one LvL 20, one Lvl 42 and one char on lvl 80.
Importent: you have to lvl until lvl 10,because you have to choose the faction before you can grant the level ups.
Unless you are a non-Panderan monk! Or willing to start as a non-Panderan and pony up the cost of a race change =P
and you wouldn’t want to ‘waste’ a free level up on 1-10 anyway – that’s like 10 minutes of playtime.. :)
that right, you get 300% mor xp…if you level with your toon.
